Call for Expressions of Interest: Hosting RAC/TRAC 2022

The Archaeology Committee of the Roman Society would like to invite expressions of interest from UK institutions in hosting the 2022 joint Roman Archaeology Conference and Theoretical Roman Archaeology Conference. The event takes place biannually in April and in keeping with the current programme (which sees the event alternating between the UK and abroad), the 2022 event will take place in the UK. To register your interest in hosting this event, please send one side of A4 outlining the following:

  • Prospective dates
  • Brief details of possible venue facilities and accommodation available (it will be necessary to be able to provide session rooms of various sizes with projector facilities, a large space for plenary events, space for publisher stalls etc.)
  • Provisional details of the local organising committee membership
  • Details of any experience of the institution and/or organising committee members in hosting large conferences of this kind
  • Details of possible conference partners
  • Details of possible local excursion destinations (at least two)
  • Any other relevant information

The deadline for proposals is 1st April 2020.
