RAC/TRAC Organising Committee Statement 13.3.2020

Posted by

Following the decision of the Croatian government to postpone all public events with more than 100 participants until further notice we are mindful of the impact this could have on RAC / TRAC in April 2020. With colleagues from numerous countries now unable to attend due to travel restrictions, and conditions in many areas expected to worsen in the short term the circumstances have grown steadily more challenging. Given the unpredictability of the situation, the Croatian Academy wishes to postpone RAC/TRAC. As such, we are now planning to delay for 12 months and hold RAC/TRAC in Split from 7-10 April, 2021, with pre-and post-conference excursions.

We appreciate that this news will be disappointing for many for you. However, our hope is that the 2021 conference will remain substantially similar to that originally planned, and feature the same sessions and speakers where possible. Tickets will automatically be rolled over to next year, so that there will be no need to rebook. We hope that you will be able to join us next year and be supportive of a difficult decision made in even more difficult circumstances.

We understand that many flight operators are willing to rebook flights for people whose plans have been disrupted by the coronavirus. We also recommend contacting your travel insurance company as soon as possible.

We are happy to provide a formal confirmation that the event has been postponed to anyone who requires one.
